As world population continues to increase and the developing world’s population looks towards Americans as their model for prosperity, we’re setting a frightening model of unrestrained consumption.  It is our duty as a nation to realize that the time of cheap energy is history.  Regardless of the price of a barrel of oil, energy has always been undervalued, and if it was accurately valued our nation would be forced to consume far less than it currently does. 

We can revive our economy and work our way back to becoming an economic powerhouse if we develop the policy and technology to drastically minimize our national fuel consumption.  The challenge remains, how do you promote fuel conservation to the level necessary to open every American’s eyes to the undeniable benefits of energy conservation?  My idea is to provide a platform on the web that others can use to join the alternative fuel discussion with a primary focus on alternative transportation fuels.
